Welcome to the Blog!

Well...here it is, the blog that I have been wanting to start since 2008 but never had the guts to do till today (only took me 12 years). This COVID-19 has had me thinking that there is no time like the present and to get off my butt and just do it since I have been in isolation for months. 

A little bit about me, my name is Lauren and I am a 25-year-old woman who is dog-obsessed, food motivated, and loves a good DIY project. I am a university graduate with a bachelor's degree in Resource and Environmental Management and a certificate and minor in Indigenous Studies. My life has gone from a permanent student to working in the corporate world. I’m passionate about supporting local, female empowerment, and a good cup of tea while enjoying what life has to offer aka champagne lifestyle on a beer budget.

The love of my life is my rescue dog, Sandy. I mean it when I say dog-obsessed, during isolation I haven’t been able to bake the perfect sourdough loaf but managed to paint a photo of her, frame it, and now have it hung above my bed. It’s true love.
